A renewed strategic outlook & approach to global health
AIGHD's strategy is to operate as a community or network organisation, directly employing a small group of scientists working on specific projects, linked to a wider group of faculty-based academics. AIGHD operates beyond a typical scientific network organisation by providing a combination of services to its academics (Fellows) to generate ideas, attract funding and manage large projects (particularly internationally funded ones), create new relationships with global partners, design and implement cross-disciplinary research and education, attract international students, and engage with global health policy institutions.
We provide support for researchers across a variety of fields and needs which enable excellent research in global health.
AIGHD provides a set of research, policy support services, and teaching opportunities that enable excellent researchers and educators based at the universities of Amsterdam and our partners to participate in and enhance their careers in global health.
