Dutch Global Health Hub
Location: The Hague, Netherlands
Date: 3 October 2025
AIGHD is an active member of the Dutch Global Health Hub, launched in September 2023 with twenty other organisations to help improve public health worldwide.
The Hub has three Communities of Practice (COP). AIGHD participates in the second COP focused on pandemic preparedness.
At the Global Health Hub's annual event – hosted by the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – members of the second COP debated how the Netherlands can help implement the commitments set out in the United Nations Political Declaration on antimicrobial resistance.
European Global Health Research Institutes Network (EGHRIN)
AIGHD continues to be an active member of the European Global Health Research Institutes Network (EGHRIN), a growing network of research institutions committed to advancing global health through research, policy dialogue, and equitable partnerships.
Until 2025, AIGHD hosted EGHRIN's secretariat before handing over this responsibility to the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). EGHRIN intends to actively participate in debates about the next EU Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and the Framework Programme 10 (FP10) to ensure global health remains highly visible within EU research and innovation agendas.
